The Similan National Park lies approximately 60 km in front of the cost of Bang Niang.The park was founded in 1982 as the 43rd National Park of Thailand.
The Marine Park area encloses 140 square kilometers, of which the different islands and rocks take only 16 square kilometers. The park consists particularly of weather-beaten granite rock and the Similan islands are covered with a year round green vegetation.
The Similan islands are a great diving area, which is easy accessible from Bang Niang either by a day trip- or with a live aboard. To do some dives at these world famous dive spots is certainly a pleasure for most divers...
There is a wide range of different day trip or live aboard offers available form dive schools in Bang Niang or in Khao Lak.
